The Island of Islay is the southernmost island of the Hebrides; it is located approximately 20 miles west of the Mull of Kintyre and about 25 miles north of Northern Ireland. The Island is often referred to as the ‘Queen of the Hebrides’ – it is rich in culture, bio-diversity, whisky and farming; the Island has stunning scenery, sweeping beaches and remains unspoilt and rests on the traditional social values that pervade throughout the west coast of Scotland.
